Subject Verb Agreement

Agreement berarti kesesuaian. Jadi, subject verb agreement adalah kesesuaian antara subjek dan kata kerja (verb). Karena kata kerja dalam bahasa Inggris tidak seperti bahasa Indonesia yang bentuknya hampir selalu sama terlepas dari subjeknya, maka suatu kata kerja harus disesuaikan dengan subjek kalimatnya.

Contohnya:

Mita runs to the school

My brother and I are best friends, we always played together when we were younger

That child chooses to play alone, while the other children choose to play together
